Department of Stri Roga and Prasuti Tantra

Prasutitantra Avum Striroga is one of the most important clinical departments in an Ayurvedic hospital. It encompasses both Ayurvedic concepts of Prasutitantra and Striroga as well as modern principles of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The department deals with the diagnosis and management of disorders related to the female reproductive system, along with the care and treatment during pregnancy, labour, and puerperium (post-delivery period). The focus is on providing comprehensive women’s healthcare through an integrative approach.

Female genital systems in normal and abnormal forms
Preserved foetuses
Charts and models illustrating Ayurvedic anatomy, physiology, and embryology relevant to Prasuti-Striroga
Real bone models of the female pelvis and foetal skull
Plaster of Paris models demonstrating foetal growth during pregnancy
