Introduction- This department deals with Ayurvedic Samhitas, Material Science, Ayurveda History, Sanskrit, Research Methodology and Medical Statistics. It basically provides fundamental principles and their clinical implications for the prevention and treatment of diseases of healthy individuals. This department laid the foundation of Ayurveda. Ayurveda is divided into eight branches, each branch of which is derived from the Samhitas.

This department provides both clinical and literary education on the basic principles of Ayurveda.

Objectives and Objectives-

1. To impart fundamental education to the students of undergraduate level.

2. Teaching through advanced and interesting mediums to make the subject and knowledge updated as per scientific norms.

3. To prepare quality doctors in the field of Ayurveda so that Ayurveda can be propagated worldwide.

4. To provide not only literary but also clinical education based on the basic principles.
